The Blacktown Visitor Information & Heritage Centre inspires visitors to engage with Blacktown's rich culture and heritage.
It is one of the few only remaining heritage buildings in Blacktown City and regularly features historical exhibitions. The building itself used to house the former Blacktown Public School, which in 1877, was the first school to ever open in Blacktown. It remained a school until the early 1990's. In 2007, the building underwent extensive renovations and became the City's first Visitor Information Centre.
The centre is the only place where you can purchase unique 'Blacktown' merchandise in the city, including the official 'I Love Blacktown' T Shirt, and is also a valuable source of information about things to do and see in Blacktown City, Greater Sydney and regional NSW.
Contact the friendly and welcoming staff on 1300 302 858 or pop in - Civic Plaza, Flushcombe Rd, Blacktown.
The centre is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 3pm.
